Clubs Invited to Apply For Membership (13/3/08) By Chris Evans With the end of the campaign nearly upon us, preparations for next season are on the horizon. Potential new clubs for 2008/09 can now download their Application Form. An Application Form can be downloaded via the link below which should be completed and returned to the Chief Executive Officer as soon as possible by E-Mail using this link. The Agreement Form must be sent by post with the correct remittance in the form of a cheque or postal orders. You will not yet have received an Essex County F.A. Affiliation Number but when you do you must notify Mike Machin in writing, but do not wait for this. If you are a new club who has not yet enquired with the Essex County Football Association regarding affiliation, I recommend you do so immediately on (01245) 465271. A copy of the current League Handbook is available for your information and perusal. The planned Entrance Fees for Season 2008/2009 will be as follows: Mini-Soccer (Under 7s to Under 10s): £55.00 per team and Youth Football (Under 11s to Under 21s): £80.00 per team. A Bond Fee of £100.00 is payable, on a separate cheque, by all new clubs entering the League, irrespective of the number of teams to be entered. The Bond Fee is returnable to the Club should it decide to leave the League, provided all its fixtures and any other obligations to the League have been fulfilled. On receipt of the Application Form, we will be arranging a series of Club Interviews and the Senior Officers of the Club will then be invited to attend. An invitation to attend an interview does not necessarily indicate acceptance of the Club into the League and this should be clearly understood. The League will be again be running an Under 21s section this season. Also, new teams/clubs will be placed in a Division deemed to match their standard of play, providing there is a suitable vacancy.
