'One Out of Two' for Great Danes in Latest Finals (9/5/05) Great Danes added another Cup to their trophy cabinet at Burnham Ramblers F.C. on Sunday, coming out on top in the Under 11s Knockout Cup Final. The 'A' team defeated Mountnessing Juniors, 2-1, to get their hands on the prestigious prize. The 'Celebrations of the Day' Award has to go to Corringham Athletic who were ecstatic to receive the Under 12s Knockout Cup trophy after their narrow 2-1 win against Writtle Minors. Meanwhile, Danes' attempt to notch two trophies in one day fell flat as their Under 13As' brave effort was not enough to beat Billericay Youth, who were victorious by one goal to nil. |
